We will be following all the Covid safety precautions as are required by the Arkansas Health Department. We have to do that in order to get our permit to have this race so please be watching for future emails with specific directions for check-in and all other aspects of the event. The course: 

Due to a moderate to moderately difficult terrain, this race is recommended for experienced trail runners.

12.4 miles with .8 mile on pavement in the park and approximately 12 miles on the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Boy Scouts Trail including one possible creek crossing depending on rain.

Early packet pick-up: 


Race day packet pick-up:

7 a.m. Saturday.  Racers can pick up their race packets at Petit Jean State Park Pavilion A (located in the picnic area).

Racer check-in: 

Racer check-in will be held at Petit Jean State Park, April 10, 2021 starting at 7 a.m. in Pavilion A.  

**All runners must check in on Saturday before race begins.**

Racer start time: 

The race will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Cut- off time: 

There is a 6- hour time limit.


Attendants will be on hand to direct you to parking. Please park in designated areas.


Awards will be given for the overall male and female finishers. Finisher awards will also be provided.

T- shirts: 

T- shirts will be provided for all runners.  When choosing size, keep in mind that the shirts are of a technical fabric, and come in men’s and women’s sizing.  Please note that we cannot guarantee sizes after March 24.


The weather at Petit Jean State Park in April is typically warm with highs in the 60s- 70s and lows in the 40s. The race will go on rain or shine.


Two staffed aid stations on the trail at approximately 4.3 miles and 8.9 miles. Carrying at least one bottle of fluid is recommended.
